Davina Fit – 2010

There are 4 x 30 minute self contained workouts on this Davina DVD.  Following a similar set up to the Super Body Workout DVD, you get to select from 4 x 30 minute routines plus there’s an additional 10 minute Yoga Stretch which you can add to the end of one of the sections.

There are lots of new funky moves and it’s worth getting this DVD just to see Mark do the ‘wiggle’ The music once again is excellent and very uplifting. Davina always seems to get it spot on with the tunes.

You have a choice from Aerobics Fit, which has plenty of fat burning and new moves, Top Fit – for your bingo wings and shoulders, you’ll need a set of hand weights for this section, or you can use 2 bottles of water, Bottom Fit – Lots of squatting, and Kick Fit, lots of therapeutic punching & kicking.

It’s really easy to fit a 30 min routine into your day, so there’s no excuse not to exercise!

The Power Of 3 / My 3 X 30 Minute Workouts 2005

If you want to have a great selection of workouts to choose from then the Box Set from 2005 is a great option. Although the Dvds were released five years ago, the exercises aren’t dated and the music Davina has chosen for each of these Dvds is really good.

If you’ve recently tried Davina Fit or Super Body Workout then this Box Set will serve to take you back in time, music wise and routine wise. It’s nice to compare the older routines and format and see how they have developed over the years and what improvements have been made to each Fitness Dvd.

Davina DVD – My 3 X 30 minute Workouts – 2005

There are three routines to choose from on this Davina DVD, Pump, Cardio Box & Core Stability.  Each section is 30 minutes long, so it’s easy to fit it into your busy schedule.   Although it is one of Davina’s older DVDs it’s still worth having in your collection as it is a little different from the others.

The pump routine is pretty tough going.  Using a set of hand weights, Jackie takes you through some pretty tough moves.  It’s a combined upper and lower body workout, so there’s plenty of lunges and tricep dips, lateral raises etc.  This is probably one of my favorite routines from all the Davina DVDs.

The Core Stability section is brilliant!  It helps improve your balance and strengthen all your core muscles.  Some of the moves are quite difficult I find and although the moves are slow, they do require some practice.  You can always follow Mark, as he gives an easier option.

The Cardio Box routine is a bit of a let down unfortunately.  It doesn’t flow very well and it’s too fast to follow because of the lack of instruction in some parts.  Once you have done the routine a few times and you get to know the moves, then you can follow it a little better but somehow it just feels a little dis-jointed.  The abs section is good though and overall the DVD is worth having for just the other routines which are both excellent.
